"Footprints" is the title of Roy's first album, released on CD in 2003. This album contains ten steel guitar instrumentals and three vocals. The first instrumental is Roy's signature song, "The Tennessee Waltz" which catapulted Roy into fame in the steel guitar world due to the tremendous success of the original Pee Wee King version where Roy played steel guitar. The three vocals are inspired renditions by the great voice of Hal Higgins. The complete song list is shown below:

At his induction into the
International Steel Guitar Hall of Fame

Recorded live September 1, 2007
at the Convention Center of the
Millennium Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri

Roy played this set immediately following
his induction into the Hall of Fame
before an audience of approximately
5,000 people, many of whom were
steel guitarists. He was informed
after his set that Steel Radio, which
broadcast the set over the internet,
received over 1,000,000 hits.

This CD includes an on-stage interview
in which Roy tells the story of the recording
of The Tennessee Waltz in 1946.
